The Player's as 'Super Bowl Week' for Galaxy Aviation

Player’s Championship week is the busiest of the year for Galaxy, the airport’s main Fixed-Base Operator.

Considering the other regional airports that players and spectators can choose from, the St. Augustine Airport has been the most popular due to its location and the fact that travelers can easily embark and disembark in relative anonymity.

Looking good on the links

The craziest outfit I saw yesterday? One very spiffy gentleman wearing black pants covered in neon pink, yellow, purple and green polka dots. Now that’s brave.

The Recorder staff writers are a persnickety breed, accustomed to the comforts of Wi-fi, BlackBerrys and other gadgets. So who gets access to the Media Center? Whoever has the best golf outfit? Not going to happen.

A new golfer is born-thank you Stadium Village

With a resounding smack, I lobbed a golf ball up, up… and then down right in the water at the UBS 17th Challenge.

Last year, all I could do was watch as golfer after amateur golfer stepped right up to try their hand at the simulated island hole. This year, The Players was kind enough to host our Media Reception at the Stadium Village, a fan gathering place where you can try your hand at the 16th, 17th and 18th. Well, naturally that sparked competition between my fellow writers and photographer.
